Helen Crabb walked 26.2 miles – around 2,562 laps of her kitchen – in ten hours on Saturday, April 25, and raised more than £1,400 for three animal charities.

Speaking the day after her fundraiser, Helen said: “I must admit I am struggling somewhat today. I have never walked anywhere near this far before so it is now really taking its toll on me!

“One of the biggest challenges was dizziness and so I had to extend the walk from my kitchen to include the hallway as well so that I could get more of a straight run without having to keep turning all the time.

“I have managed to smash my fundraising target thanks to everybody’s generosity - I have been quite overwhelmed by the amount of support.”
