Parking charges in three car parks around Bognor Regis and Felpham are to rise by 20 per cent.

The fees at the Gloucester Road and Rock Garden sites in Bognor and Felpham's Culver Road car park will go up on October 1.

The increase has been approved by Arun District Council's parking boss, Cllr Paul Wotherspoon.

It means that charges for stays of up to an hour will rise from 50p to 60p, those for up to two hours will go up from 1 to 1.20 and longer visits will incur a 2.40 charge compared to the current 2.

Fees at Hotham Park, however, will stay the same.
