Parish Councillor Resigns

A LANCING parish councillor has resigned from the Liberal Democrats because of internal problems in the political party.

Manor ward councillor Jean Turner said in a letter to the Herald: "It is with sadness that I have decided to resign from the local Liberal Democrats, or act as one of their public elected parish councillors after seven years, due to internal conflict in the local party.

"This decision will not affect my work on committees, or for members of four clubs, having been elected for 10 years on two, for eight years on another and recently elected on another, as these are non-political.
