Pair appear in court on burglary charge
TWO men have appeared in court accused of committing a burglary in Battle.
Darren Freeman, 39, of Buxton Drive, Bexhill and John Lyons (also known as John Butlin), 32, of Asten Fields, Battle, appeared before Hastings Magistrates Court on Monday accused of stealing a wallet containing cash and bank cards and jewellery from a property in the High Street on Friday (November 30).
Both the men have pleaded not guilty to the charge.
They have been remanded in custody until December 12.
