We must keep politicians on the right track

THANK God for the local press '“ how else would the general public get to know what goes on behind closed doors?

The vast majority of us are unable to leave work or our voluntary post to attend meetings.

Often when we do, we are told what they think we want to hear.

Surely a parking scheme can be devised that allows us to pop into local shops to get what we need.

I have never believed that our hospital will be built and am still to be convinced. This is a perfect site for developers, I would think.

Any local initiative is now a political scam. All parties are guilty of that at times (just wait for the election material if you don't believe me).

Please do not leave our future to the politicians, as many have a vested interest.

Ultimately, it is only we who can keep them on the right track.

With a few notable exceptions, they are completely incapable of doing it for themselves.
