Rosedale Care Home holds open day event

The idea behind the day is to encourage local people to visit care homes in their community and to work together to develop better relationships.

This important connection is something that Rosedale has nurtured since opening in 1998 and the home is already acting as a community hub, including working with the local schools, colleges and churches.

As part of the Care Home Open Day 2015, Rosedale hosted various activities throughout the day and music and a cream tea in the afternoon. Frances Haigh and Morwen Millson visited at 2pm.

Rosemary Pavoni the Manager at the home, said: “This is a great way to show the excellent services on offer and the fantastic work that goes on at Rosedale.

“Some people still have misconceptions about care homes so we are keen to dispel any myths and for people to come and have a look around, meet the staff and our residents.”
