Not happy to move allotments

AS A plot-holder on the Mill Lane allotments site for the past 17 years, I would like to draw the attention of the town clerk to a conclusion he seems to have drawn from three meetings on the same subject, held with three different sets of plot-holders from Mill Lane, that we are happy to move – wrong.

We went to these meetings feeling that it was a case of fait accompli on the part of the town council, but listened to what was being offered, should the North Littlehampton fiasco go ahead.

Fortunately, common sense prevailed and it was overturned. No doubt it will rear its ugly head again and we must fight to keep things as they are, even if the town clerk and some councillors are still hell-bent on selling off the town's assets.
