LETTER: Support for the Friends of Forest

I am writing to you on behalf of The Friends of the Forest School. The Friends of the Forest School exists to raise funds, all of which are spent on improving equipment, facilities and resources to enhance our children’s education. Each year we raise money to buy the things that otherwise the school can’t fund.

The Friends of the Forest School are currently planning their Summer Raffle which will be drawn on July 18.

Last year the youth service pulled out of all schools across West Sussex, including ours. This left us without youth workers to run the Youth Wing, youth activities or funding for the upkeep of the Youth Wing building.

This year we are raising funds to improve facilities inside the building which has not received any major investment for many years. The school has taken over this run down building and is facilitating the running of youth club nights with a local charity ‘4 The Youth’, set up a breakfast club and running after school activities.

This is providing a safe environment for the boys to meet, socialise and discuss issues with trained youth workers and other professionals.

We hope you might be willing to donate or contribute to a prize for our raffle. Any suitable product, service, gift voucher or cash donation will be appreciated. As a “thank you” our top five sponsors will be named on our raffle tickets.
