LETTER: Phenomenon seen in Horsham sky
With all due respects to Layla Redford, the photo which she submitted and was published in WSCT (11th June) does not show a circumzenithal arc, but the accompanying sun dog.
The proof lies in the height above the tree line. The arc was much higher in the sky. For more information and pictures of the phenomenon search ‘rainbows’ on the internet.
