LETTER: MP should tackle key local issues

Francis Maude takes up another half page in your paper (3rd July 2014) writing about the European Union and Juncker’s choice as Commission President. Once again he chooses (in the free speech you give him though he doesn’t sign up to your charter) not to write about subjects that matter to local people in a local paper.

When will he realise that as our MP he should be addressing local issues - for example focusing like MPs in Mid-Sussex on housing as in the flawed plan steered by Cllrs Dawe, Croft, Vickers, Rae, Cornel, O’Connell and Baldwin.

This will be the biggest change to Horsham and he remains silent. What we want is to hear him talk about the impact this will have on his constituency.
