LETTER: Historic talk with old photographs

I am sorry that Mr Gilham has taken offence to Horsham Museum’s excellent World War I exhibition and quite how this could be contrived as a political move baffles me. As secretary to the RFC/RNAS Veterans Society, I would have thought he would be delighted in particular to see the parts of the exhibition that contribute to the memory of the brave pilots from this area.

The Friends of Horsham Museum will be supporting the museum over the next few years to relate how The Great War affected Horsham District.

For example, you can investigate many of the posters that were posted on Horsham’s walls during this period by visiting our Heritage Lottery Fund supported website (www.horshamposters.com).

For those less inclined to go on-line, The Friends will be resurrecting a famous historic talk about Horsham in the years leading up to WWI.

Based on one of the popular photographic slide shows given by Jury Cramp (and showing pictures such as that shown here), this talk starts at 8pm on Wednesday February 5th at the Wesley Hall, London Road Methodist Church, London Road, Horsham (admittance £5 on the door).
