Kill your speed

I FELT the need to reply to points raised in Chris Faerber’s letter (Gazette, April 21).

I agree the delivery vehicles and customers parking in Finisterre Way at the Tesco Express store do cause problems in that road, yet this does not cause drivers to use extreme speeds in the road where the crossing is situated.

Many people, since reading my letter (April 14), have agreed with me that the traffic problem needs to be addressed and, until we “see red” this will continue.

We feel that your article “Slow down: signs to say 20 is plenty” would help towards reducing speed.

I do, however, regret that Mrs Faerber’s house is in an area where there are no driveways and that this crossing has taken away the space on the public highway which was previously available for public parking.
