Just not convenient

TOWARDS the end of 2007, a planning application was submitted for conversion of redundant public conveniences in the Manor House car park at Littlehampton.

Along with other residents, I submitted an objection which questioned the word “redundant”, and pointed out that doing away with these facilities, if you were in the area of the museum, or library, the St Martin’s car park toilets may be a step too far.

Now it appears part of this objection has come to fruition, as upon visiting the library, I note that they have had to display a notice on the external door giving the whereabouts of the nearest public conveniences!
