Join St Mary’s House for Traditional Palm Court Tea event
Shelley van Loen and her Palm Court Strings help to celebrate 30 years of conservation and restoration at historic St Mary’s House, Bramber, with a delicious tea and delightful nostalgic music.
It is a real opportunity to relax to the sonorous strains of a host of ear-tingling musical delights from the Victorian and Edwardian eras performed by virtuoso musicians in the delightful setting of the elegant Victorian Music Room.
Shelley and her musicians have performed in many parts of Great Britain, including the Royal Albert Hall, and have appeared several times on TV, including Agatha Christie’s Poirot.
They played for Sir Laurence Olivier at his 80th Birthday Party, the Queen on a number of occasions, and have a particular fondness for their St. Mary’s audiences.
Shelley is also a professional confectioner and, for the 30th celebration, she will be providing everyone with a mystery ‘chocolate surprise’.
This ever-popular event takes place at 3pm on Saturday 24th May in the elegant Victorian Music Room at St Mary’s.
Tickets are £30 and include tea and cake. These may be obtained from the box office at St Mary’s House, telephone 01903 816205, email [email protected], or visit the website www.stmarysbramber.co.uk.
