‘Crass’ idea for site
WHAT an incredibly crass idea it would be to close the swimming pool and sell off the land.
I have travelled along the south coast from Kent to Cornwall, and remarkably few towns have such a fine site, and where they are taken advantage of, they are hugely successful. I am aware of the initial outlay, but if a second floor restaurant was added, not only would the centre pay for itself, but would be very popular and lucrative in the long run.
People love to enjoy good food, well cooked, and be able to see the sea. If you do not believe me, go along to the Sea Lane Café in Goring and see what is possible.
