County’s largest local food and drink festival

Don’t forget that Horsham Town Centre will be holding the county’s largest local produce food and drink festival on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 September.

The Big Nibble may be the largest local food festival in West Sussex but it is only the launch event of something much bigger!

The district-wide Food and Drink Festival is a celebration of all things food and the best way to find out about all the events, promotions and foodie fun is to pick up the annual Food and Drink Guide. You can pick up the guide from a number of participating businesses. It gives details of the many great activities that are taking place from 5 September until the 4 October.

The Big Nibble itself is growing. Now added to the enjoyment is the brand new International Food Festival on East Street, Park Place and Market Square.

Join local restaurants as they host taster sessions from 10.30 to 11.30 am and from 2.30 to 3.30 pm on Sunday, September 6 and get the chance to try some new cuisine and enjoy the great range of choice of food that Horsham Town Centre has to offer. There will also be live music and roaming entertainments so don’t forget to head over on Big Nibble Sunday.

Following the outstanding success of last year’s Little Nibble, the event for youngsters will now take place on both Saturday and Sunday. If you’re looking for fun things to do with the kids to get over the gloom of the summer holidays ending than look no further than the Forum!

The Little Nibble will be packed with lots of fun activities including arts and crafts zones, experimenting with foods, bouncy castles and of course the ever popular Crazy Food Figure competition. All of the food vendors will be supplying child size portions so they don’t miss out on Horsham’s famous street food.

Of course the staple ingredient for the Big Nibble is the fantastic local produce market.

There will be a great mixture of products both sweet and savoury and hot or cold all made locally or using local produce.

There will be plenty of re-fuelling opportunities with local breweries offering beer, cider and of course non-alcoholic options as well. There will also be plenty of street food to keep your appetite in check until you return home to get cooking!

The Big Nibble is a great showcase of what West Sussex has to offer all the foodies out there, so make sure not to miss it and head into Horsham town centre on the 5 and September 6!
