Contractors S&C Slatter and Barclay LED Solutions began work on the pitches in January. They have now completed the installation and delivered it on schedule, and both pitches are now available for bookings.

The 3G pitches are available to hire for non-members of the club but being a member entitles you to a discount as well as additional Holbrook Club member benefits. Power Play will be running a Monday night league at the Club starting in three weeks with all standards welcome and games overseen by FA qualified referees.

Club manager of the Holbrook Club Matthew Russell said: “The demand we have already received for bookings has been outstanding with lots of interest from local junior teams and adults alike”.

The Club is holding a charity 5 a side tournament on Sunday 8th March to officially launch the pitches and raise money for a local charity Hope for Emily. Matthew said: “This is a great event to be able to showcase our new 3G pitches and at the same time support such a worthwhile cause.

‘‘The Tournament is kindly being sponsored by local company Durant Removals & Storage. We currently have nine junior teams and 12 adult teams entered for Sunday. Kick off for juniors will be at 10am with adults kicking off at 12pm”

Anyone interested in coming along and supporting the event are more than welcome, the club’s café will be open serving drinks and food throughout the event.
