Charity’s appeal for van to help solve transport issue

Fundraisers at the Dame Vera Lynn Trust for Children with Cerebral Palsy are struggling to transport equipment to charity events due to the lack of space in their own personal cars.

The Charity, based in Five Oaks has launched an appeal to find an individual or company to donate a small van to solve their transport worries.

Catherine Bristow, events fundraiser, said: “It is vital that we have our branded equipment at all our events and it simply does not fit in my car.

“Sorting out logistics and finding a way to get equipment to a venue is a really difficult. Having a small van would be amazing and the solution to all our problems.”

The award winning charity that supports families with babies and children under five years of age receives no statutory funding and relies entirely on voluntary contributions to ensure that the vital and much needed service can continue.
