Billingshurst teen through to final of singing contest

After taking part in auditions alongside thousands of other unsigned singers across the UK and impressing the TeenStar judging panel, the 15-yer-old went on to perform in the TeenStar live showcases, battling through both the Regional and Area final heats.

She is now set to perform at the TeenStar 2014 Grand Final at The NEC in Birmingham on 19th July 2015 where she will be fighting to win a £5000 cash prize to spend on the development of their act.

TeenStar is an exciting national talent competition for teens and pre-teens which travels the UK in search for the UK’s best singers, singer-songwriters, rappers and vocalists of all genres.

TeenStar is brought to you by Future Music, the company behind the discovery of artists such as Luke Friend, Jacob Banks, Warner Music’s Birdy, and Lucy Spraggan, Union J’s Jaymi Hensley and Jahmene Douglas, all of which are now signed to Sony Music.

A spokesperson for TeenStar commented “We are searching for an act that not only has the live ability to impress an audience, industry judges and A&R associates, but an act that has the potential to become a professional recording artist.

The TeenStar Grand Final is the best place to showcase your talent in front of a massive crowd and celebrity judges. It’s going to be a huge event and an experience of a lifetime for all our finalists.”

There are over £20,000 worth of prizes up for grabs throughout the competition this year and the overall winner will be given £5,000 cash to spend on the development of their music.

The winner will also be given an extensive publicity package as well as a comprehensive consultation and development package including help with social media marketing, image, and branding to kick start their musical career!

TeenStar is divided into age categories, the ‘Late Teens’ (16-19), ‘Mid Teens’ (13-15) and a special category searching for the stars of tomorrow, the Pre-Teens (12 and Under). All types of singers, vocal performers and groups are invited to enter TeenStar.

Whatever happens, the Grand Final of TeenStar will provide acts with the opportunity to impress many guests from record labels, agencies and the entertainment industry.

In previous years the Grand Final judging panel has included BBC Radio 1’s Annie Nightingale and Ras Kwame, Slade’s Noddy Holder MBE, four time Ivor Novello award winner Mark Hill, producer for One Direction and Ed Sheeran Si Hulbert and A&R representatives from Warner, Sony and Universal.
