All quiet on hospital

AFTER years of delay and disappointment waiting for the Littlehampton Community Hospital to be rebuilt, I saw an article (Gazette, August 5, 2010) which stated a public/private partnership had been formed called West Sussex Community Solutions Ltd, who would be responsible for all building projects for the NHS in West Sussex for the next 20 years.

Funding had been secured for rebuilding Littlehampton Hospital and it would be the first project to be dealt with by the partnership.

This partnership was supposed to fast-track the building programme, but we have heard nothing since it was formed.

Maybe someone from the health authority or Arun District Council, which is working closely with them, can give us a progress report and reassure us that, unlike the last time we were told funding had been secured to rebuild Littlehampton Hospital, and it never was, this time the secured funding will be protected and not diverted to other NHS projects in West Sussex.
