A miserable excuse for a packed lunch

“Please sir I want some more.” I think any child presented with the miserable excuse for a packed lunch pictured in the Eastbourne Herald last Friday (October 30) click here to reaad would be perfectly entitled to utter this well known plea.

Given the advantages of bulk buying a snack of this quality could easily be produced for around 50p and still turn a small profit, so what happened to the change from £2.30?

One would hope this was an isolated incident, a hiccup in the production line perhaps.

Otherwise our children and the taxpayer are being seriously short-changed.
