LETTER: I doubt it was the current government

Maria Caulfield, our MP, gives the veiled impression in her letter [Express September 16] that the new resources allocated to the Royal Sussex and Eastbourne General Hospitals are thanks to her present Conservative government.

But anyone with any knowledge of how these things work, knows that it takes months of negotiation to agree the need for the work and then the finance for it, so I very much doubt if these improvements were agreed by the current government, nor the new Dialysis unit at Polegate.

Much more likely they were planned for during the coalition government and the two LibDem MPs for those areas.
