We know the cost but fail to see the value

ANOTHER important service under threat is the Royal Mail.

We all love to complain about late deliveries, but it’s a well-worn yet true maxim that we never know what we’ve got until it’s gone.

The prospect of our postal service being in private hands totally goes against the grain, especially if it winds up in the hands of an overseas company.

Modern Britain has a terrible habit of selling off its assets to the highest bidder.

We pride ourselves on knowing the cost of everything but very often fail to see its value.

The Royal Mail in the hands of an overseas firm would be a disaster.

Unfortunately it’s an often-trodden path in this country - look at what happened to Cadbury’s.
