OAP hurt in road accident - man arrested
A 23-year-old Slovakian man is due to appear in court this afternoon (Tuesday) after a car accident left a pensioner with serious head injuries .
Ivan Vester, a farm worker at Sheffield Park, was arrested after his Volvo saloon car was in collision with an 84-year-old man in Uckfield High Street at 10.16am yesterday (Monday).
The man was taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital suffering from serious head injuries.
Mr Vester was arrested and charged with careless driving, having two defective tyres, no insurance and no driving licence.
