Oak tree planted to mark wedding

A LIVING reminder of this year's royal wedding will delight Felpham's residents for decades.

An English bur oak has been planted on the roundabout where the site six housing development meets the A259.

Felpham Parish Council chairman Cllr Paul English lent a hand as local youngsters Ruby-May Rainey and Caris Huggins got stuck in with their spades.

David Wilson Homes mascot Dugg Wilson added his considerable presence as well.

Anthony Dimmock, the community liaison manager for David Wilson Homes, said he was delighted the housebuilder was involved. “We always strive to be part of the communities in which we are building. We will be ensuring the tree is well looked after as it becomes established on the roundabout.”

The oak was donated by Millstone Landscapes at a location chosen by Cllr English.
