New flats plan for pub in Barnham

SIX flats could be created above a Barnham pub.

The Wellington Pub Company wants approval to convert the first and second floor of the Barnham Bridge Inn to residential accommodation.

The firm intends to form three two-bed flats and one three-bed flat on the first floor of the Barnham Road building of special character. It also wants to have two one-bed flats on the second floor.

The existing side entrance to the pub will be used for the flats and will lead to a communal entrance hall and new stairs.

The hallway will be separated from the rest of the ground floor by new internal partitioning.

A rear first floor extension, dormer windows and rooflights will be required for the flats.
