New date for annual Hospital Garden Party
THE organiser of the annual League of Friends of Bexhill Hospital Garden Party is busy writing to stallholders to inform them of a change of date for this year's event.
Douglas Mayne has swapped the event from Saturday, June 21 to Saturday, June 14 to avoid a clash with the garden party at Mais House Royal British Legion home.
Both are major crowd-pullers. Both feature the Little Common Royal British Legion Band, whose first allegiance, naturally, is to Mais House.
Mr Mayne said this week: "If anyone has not received a note from me I would be grateful if they would contact me on 01424 733876."
