Musicbeyondhart is the working name for a steering group made up of local people in the Hastings and Rother area.

The group says it has a 'common aim', which is to, 'support the development of performers who will play music to residential homes, schools, and other venues.'

The group hopes that through music a lot of, 'positive outcomes will be achieved in both the well-being of the musicians and audience whilst at the same time issues of mental health stigma in the community are addressed."

The next event to be held at the Centre Stage will be on November 18th, and a spokesperson said: "There's no need to book just turn up; everyone is welcome."
