MP opens ATM

A NEW ATM machine at Windmill Drive Post Office was officially opened by Bexhill and Battle MP Greg Barker.

The ATM, which is free to use, compliments the range of other banking services already on offer at the friendly local Post Office, which is run by Sub-postmaster Jonathan Armstrong and wife Sarah.

Jonathan said they installed the ATM after listening to their customers:

"My customers said they want free access to their cash, so we have listened and acted. There are some cash machines in the local area which charge people for withdrawals, but people now have a choice."

After cutting the ribbon Greg said:

"This free to use ATM will be a huge benefit to the local community in the Windmill Drive area, who otherwise face a long walk to take out cash.

"Elderly residents and young mums with pushchairs will particularly welcome this service, which is another example of the commitment to the local community shown by Jonathan and Sarah Armstrong."
