Meeting place takes shape

YOUNG people in Burwash are helping to renovate a hut so they can have a place to meet in.

A year ago a group of youngsters approached Burwash Parish Council and asked if they could have a meeting place. They wanted somewhere that teenagers could call their own.

The council thought it a good idea and set about finding somewhere. Then Young Farmers of Burwash offered their hut, which is in Burwash car park, and the council took on the lease.

During their summer holidays the young people are helping to paint, clean and generally tidy up the hut.

It will be ready in a few weeks' time.
