Man in court after woman stabbed

Samuel Reid-Wentworth (21) of Longford Road, Bognor, has been charged with attempted murder of a 20 year old woman from Littlehampton in the Somerfield supermarket at Anchor Springs on Tuesday, September 16.

He will appear before Worthing magistrates this morning (Thursday, September 18).

The woman was left with multiple stab wounds and had to have emergency surgery.

Officers said it appeared to be a random and motiveless attack.
