Man cut free from car

A male had to be released from the wreckage of one of the vehicles involved in the collision in Richmond Avenue West.

Firefighters used hydraulic rescue equipment to free him. He was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries.

A woman, also injured in the collision, was taken to hospital as well. She had been released from the remains of the vehicles before firefighters arrived.

The crash occurred at about 3.15pm last Friday. (FEB 1) The police also attended the scene.

Firefighters used hydraulic rescue equipment to get the man out and he was taken to St Richard's Hospital, Chichester.
