King George and his tiny friends tackle the Baby Burglar!

Princesses and knights added their regal presence to a Felpham school.

Sixty reception children at Downview Primary School held a grand ball and a banquet to celebrate the return of the royal crown.

It had been stolen by the Baby Burglar.

Royal reporter Maisie Brookes, five, said: "We're happy we've got the crown back from Baby Burglar so we can have the ball."

Lead learner Fiona McKenzie explained the children had been so excited and motivated about their learning by writing invitations to the ball, letters about the event and posters to warn everyone about Baby Burglar.

The final word should go to George Dewey, five, who became King George for the occasion: "It is great to say stuff a king might say and do royal orders."
