Jewellers shop raid
CROOKS struck at jewellers in Lewes High Street today (Wednesday).
Shoppers were shocked to see a man rushing out of W E Clark's after stealing a 6,000 diamond ring.
The theft happened at around 1.25pm and the man was seen running towards the car park behind the magistrates court.
Police officers were called to scene soon after and spoke to staff at the shop in Cliffe High Street.
Two men have been arrested by police in connection with the theft.
