House and Gardens welcomes new head cook
Sally has already created and launched a new menu for lunch and pre-evening event dinners, with as much as possible being home-made and using Parham’s own garden produce when in season. The menu includes a delicious range of quiches and colourful salads using Sunblush Tomatoes and spicy Roquito Peppers, together with desserts such as home-made pear & almond tart and all accompanied by a selection of newly chosen wines. The famous Parham Cream Tea has been left unchanged and can continue to be enjoyed by visitors to the ‘Big Kitchen’ after an afternoon perusing the house and gardens. The new dinner menu is available prior to Shakespeare Globe’s two evening performances of King Lear on Tuesday 28th and Wednesday 29th May and must be pre-booked by calling Parham on 01903-742021.
Parham’s fondly named ‘Big Kitchen’ in the house’s original Elizabethan kitchen has also undergone a refurbishment providing brighter and more comfortable furniture in the seating area and better facilities in the cooking area and was recently re-opened by Parham’s chatelaine, Lady Emma Barnard (image attached), to coincide with the launch of Sally’s new menu.
