Horsham district people are the most satisfied with life - survey reveals

Among West Sussex residents, Horsham district people are the most satisfied with life, according to a new national survey.

But Horsham district residents topped the table when asked: overall, how anxious did you feel yesterday?

The Office for National Statistics asked several hundred people across the country questions about how satisfied they were with life, how happy they were and how anxious they felt,

They were also asked to what extent do you feel the things you do in your life are worthwhile?

The country was broken down into local government areas.

Horsham topped the West Sussex table for life satisfaction with a score of 7.95 (out of 10), just beating Chichester (7.91) and Crawley sixth out of the seven local authorities (7.79).

As far as Happiness is concerned, Horsham was second (7.72) behind Chcihester (7.92) with Crawley (7.55) just edging above last placed Adur (7.54).

Asked to what extent do you feel the things you do in your life are worthwhile, Horsham residents were second (8.04) behind Arun (8.17). Crawley was again second from bottom (7.81) but above Adur (7.73).

Finally, people were asked how anxious they were with 0 being not anxious at all.

Surprisingly, following the figures above, Horsham people are the most anxious (2.95) with Crawley just behind them (2.87).
