Headmaster reunited with former pupils

Former head of Uckfield Parochial School, Mr Ted Gooch and his wife Diana, were special guests at the gathering at the Holy Cross Church Centre at Uckfield.

It was an opportunity for the former pupils to wander through the old school classrooms, which in recent years have been used by the Spire Playgroup.

People could also look at the plans for the refurbishment of the Church Centre funded by the building of homes nearby.

The planning application for the development is due to be heard on Thursday by Wealden District Council.
