The Parents and Carers' Support Organisation is a playscheme in Chichester for about 30-35 disabled five to 18-year-olds. It runs monthly Saturday clubs, after-school clubs and weekly play schemes in the Easter, Christmas and summer holidays. Lucy's brother, William (11) attends PACSO.

She said: "He has severe autism along with many others at PACSO. There are many types of disability there. There's autism, Down's syndrome and cerebral palsy.

"It must be so hard for parents having to look after children with disabilities and PACSO takes the work off their hands. When I walk into the room, it looks like such a cheerful place and the children always have smiles on their faces."
