GCSE RESULTS: The Regis School

Staff and students in Bognor Regis are celebrating some cracking GCSE results.

Pupils flooded into The Regis School today (Thursday, August 23) to collect their results, and with this year’s exams seeing almost one in two students gain five A*-C grades there were plenty of reasons to celebrate.

The 46 per cent total was a seven per cent improvement on last year and an increase of more than half on the 30 per cent of just two years ago.

The number of students who gained five higher grades overall rose by ten per cent from 62 to 68 per cent over the past year.

The 15 students who achieved at least five A grades were Chloe Archer, Georgina Brennan, Adam Coles, Andie Cooper, Michael Denton, Josh Hanson, Annabelle Hellyer, Danielle Jackson, Hannah Kitt, Hannah Penfold, Emma Stubbings and Sophie Melard.

In 11 subjects, more than 60 per cent of entrants gained A*-C grades.
