Fun and games as pre-school celebrates ten years of play in Pagham

Ten years of play in Pagham have been celebrated by the village pre-school.

A total of 28 children enjoyed eating a birthday cake during a special party as well as laughing and singing to a show of magic and songs by Dotty the entertainer.

The two-and-a-half hours of fun ended with the happy children leaving with plenty of goodies such as Easter eggs, lollipops, cakes and balloons.

The celebrations took place at Pagham Village Hall where the pre-school has been based since January 1999.

Founders and leaders Robyn Playle-Howard and Karen Kersley launched the venture in the then new building with just three children on their books for three mornings a week.

It has grown to a total of 38 youngsters and five mornings a week opening, along with lunchtime sessions.

Robyn said: "We didn't know how long we were going to last and I can't believe the past ten years have gone so fast."
