Family ready to give us a taste of Dylan at the Bognor Rox Festival

Appearing at Rox this weekend will be a family affair for one group of Bognor Regis musicians.

Like A Bob Dylan consists of four members of the Croxford family.

The appearance at Rox on Sunday will be extra special for one of them '“ Damien '“ because it is also his 19th birthday.

He and his brothers '“ Matthew (22), Dominic (29) and their father, Bob (64), pictured left '“ will be appearing on the acoustic stage at the Rock Gardens skatepark at 3pm.

Matthew, of Tennyson Road, said: "We formed the band six months ago. We really like Bob Dylan because his music's varied. It allows you to play more than one style. There's reggae, blues, folk and country in what we do."

The line-up at Rox will consist of an acoustic guitar, percussion, double bass and three-part harmonies. The idea of forming the family band came after each of the group had performed with other groups.

"It's a lot easier with other members of your family," he said. "There's no egos involved and you can tell each other what you really think without having to be diplomatic."

Matthew and Dominic appeared at Rox in 2001 in another group for what was the festival's final year for a while at its traditional site.

"We're looking forward to being at Rox," Matthew added.

"I like the atmosphere of Rox and the fact it's on the seafront is perfect. It's great that it goes on all weekend and that it's free as well."
