Fabulous festival

SUNSHINE brought a welcome glow to events at Alfriston's festival this year.

Thousands of people came to enjoy the family-orientated fun at the weekend after a wet and cool start to the week.

Morris dancers, games, stalls and food stands gave the event a real buzz.

New this year were a doll's house and model railway exhibition.

Ann Bryan, secretary of the festival committee, said: 'It was fantastic, absolutely fabulous.

'

Its a very traditional festival and there were queues of people enjoying themselves.'

The festival started before the Second World War to raise funds for the parish church.
