Exam success as hard work pays off for trainee Aldwick accountant

A trainee accountant from Aldwick has passed the examinations required to join a professional body.

Sam Pullen, who works for AVN Petersons in Felpham Road, Felpham, is now a member of the Association of Accounting Technicians.

Chartered accountant Peter Rollison, who founded Petersons seven years ago, said: "Sam is a highly valued member of our team and works very hard both in the office and with his studies.

"This exam success means we can now help Sam to fully develop his potential and achieve his goal of becoming a qualified accountant.

"Sam will also be able to help us continue to deliver the very best levels of service to our clients."

He added: "We are committed to the ongoing training and development of all our team as we know this investment helps us retain the best people and clients.

"Sam deserves this as he is a good example of what can be achieved if you are willing to put in the hard work and commitment.

"He really is a local lad 'come good'. His interests are sport, especially football and golf, and socialising."

Sam attended Chichester College for his studies, initially under the Apprenticeships Scheme.

Peter marked the occasion by rewarding Sam with dinner for two at a local restaurant '“ and a pay rise.
