Public meeting in Hassocks on fracking

Three eminent speakers with different viewpoints on fracking will lead a debate on the controversial issue at a public meeting in Adastra Hall, Hassocks next Wednesday.

Speakers at the meeting, which starts at 7.30pm, are Alan Rew, a Balcombe resident, who is Professorial Research Fellow with the Birla Institute of Management Technology; Nick Grealy, Director of the energy consultancy No Hot Air and an advocate of fracking, and Anneliese Dodds, who is a Labour Party Euro MEP candidate in the South East.  

The meeting will be chaired by Steve Lewis, Chair of the Hurstpierpoint and Hassocks branch of the Labour Party, which has organised the meeting with the Mid Sussex Constituency Labour Party.

Parking is limited and members of the public wishing to attend are advised to arrive early. Admission is free and refreshments are available.
