Energy advice service

A new renewable-energy advice service is being launched by Arun District Council. The initiative will help residents reduce their fuel bills and carbon footprint.

It will advise residents how to invest wisely and on the most appropriate technology for their house.

The advice and support service will also help them find a government-backed installer and highlight any grants available which could fund renewable energy projects.

The service will start from July 1 thanks to 15,000 prize money won by the council in the Ashden Awards, which promote sustainable energy. Arun has published details of the energy-saving projects which brought it the success and how it plans to improve these in the future.

The booklet is available online from www.arun.gov.uk/energy and complements the launch of the new service at the Arun Civic Centre in Littlehampton which will be open from 4.30pm to 7.30pm. Details are available from Arun's energy efficiency officer Jo Brooks on [email protected] or 01903 737755.
