Two arrested over burglaries in Peacehaven

Lewes Police revealed the arrests on Twitter.

A spokesman said: “We have arrested two individuals in relation to recent burglaries in Peacehaven.

“Unfortunately we have also had a handful of reported burglaries this week in Seaford.

“Please take the time to check your property for insecurities and always lock doors/windows when leaving the house.”

Meanwhile, Lewes Police said residents have reported a man calling pertaining to be from ‘Portsmouth Custody’ and is looking for a man that used to live at the address.

The police force said it is unsure what the man was after, and fortunately residents have hung up.
