Teenager arrested in connection with Southwater stabbing
Police have arrested a teenager who was wanted in relation to a serious assault in Southwater last month.
The 17-year-old was detained by West Sussex Tactical Enforcement Officers and local response officers on Monday night (May 10).
Police said he was arrested on suspicion of committing grievous bodily harm and possession with intent to supply Class A drugs, and has been released on conditional bail until June 7.
Officers were called to an incident in Lintot Square on the evening of Sunday, April 4, which led to a 25-year-old local man receiving stab wounds to his back and leg.
Police said he was taken to hospital for treatment for a punctured lung and dislocated shoulder, and is now recovering at home.
Police are not seeking anyone else in connection with this incident.
