Officers said a man was walking through the park on Tuesday (August 9) at around 8.45am when he was approached by another man who produced a knife and demanded money.
The 53-year-old handed over a quantity of cash and was made to throw away his mobile phones before putting his watch on the ground, officers added.

Police have released a renewed appeal today saying they are still seeking to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time and in particular anyone who spoke to the victim who warned them not to go in the suspect’s direction as he left the park.
Witnesses can email [email protected] or call 101 quoting reference 338 of 09/08.
