CRIME FILE: Burglaries and vandalism in Worthing

BURGLARIES and vandalism are being investigated by police this week.

Purse taken

A RESIDENT of warden assistant flats in East Worthing had her purse stolen on Friday, May 23.

The woman's purse was stolen at about 3.30pm from the dining room at Coronation Homeletts, Brougham Road.

At about 1.20pm that afternoon, two youths aged about 12 we seen hanging around outside the flats.

One was wearing a white hooded top.

Weekend burglaries

POLICE are investigating two house burglaries which took place over the weekend.

Sometime between 5pm and 7pm on Saturday, May 24, thieves broke into a house in Ladydell Road, East Worthing, through its patio door and stole electrical items and a silver Ford Focus parked on the driveway.

The car, registration GV02 YEY, has still not been found.

At Durrington Hill, thieves got through the bathroom window sometime overnight on Saturday, May 24 or Sunday, May 25 while the owners were asleep inside.

They found the keys to a Suzuki tool van parked outside and stole it.

The van's registration was HN53 UGL and it has not been found.

Slashed tyres

TYRES were slashed on more than 25 cars parked across Worthing in the early hours of Bank Holiday Monday (May 26).

Cars in Centrecourt Road, Worthing; Garrick Road, Broadwater; Eastcourt Road, Worthing; and Ladydell Road, East Worthing were targeted.
