Community project wins award
THE achievements of AmicusHorizon’s hugely successful DIY SOS scheme have been recognised with an award for adult learning.
The popular project teaches unemployed and low waged volunteers practical home maintenance skills, including wallpapering and floor laying.
These skills are then put into practice at places like village halls and communal gardens, helping to benefit local community venues and people.
